How to ask a client for a Google review
A successful Google review request is short, honest, and sent when the service is truly done. Here is how to do it — and how AvisFacile removes the manual follow-up.
When to ask
Right after value is delivered: keys handed over, report sent, job invoiced, appointment finished. Not while the client is still waiting for a part or a signature. A one-day delay is often better than a text in the parking lot.
What to say
Thank them. Say why you are writing. Give a link. Do not steer the rating. Overly “marketing” lines get ignored; overly long ones do too.
Thank you again for your trust. If you have a minute, we would love to hear about your experience.
Email or SMS
SMS fits short services and numbers already used for the appointment. Email fits more formal files (report, transaction, signed quote). In AvisFacile you choose the channel per request — there is no official “better” channel.
How many reminders
Zero, one, or two. AvisFacile’s default is 2 reminders (often day 4 and day 10), only if the link was not clicked, between 9 and 19. Beyond that, you annoy more than you get reviews.
Mistakes to avoid
- Asking for a specific rating.
- Rewarding the review (gift, discount, draw).
- Writing only to clients you think are happy.
- Pasting the raw Google URL, unreadable on mobile.
- Forgetting to stop reminders after a click.
Google compliance
Asking for an authentic review is allowed. Filtering, buying, or dictating the rating is not. AvisFacile sends the request: the review text stays the client’s, on Google.
What AvisFacile automates
You add the client (or a CSV export). You choose email or SMS and the template. Reminders go out on their own. The dashboard shows clicks and detected reviews. For the full product, see the Google review software.
