SMS and consent
This page describes AvisFacile’s text-message program for customers who receive an SMS and for carriers (Twilio) that verify consent.
Who sends the message
AvisFacile is software used by local service businesses in Canada. The SMS is sent on behalf of the business the customer just dealt with (clinic, contractor, professional, and so on). AvisFacile does not buy lists or send mass advertising.
How consent is obtained
The phone number was provided as part of an existing business relationship: appointment, invoice, completed job, or the business’s own form. Before each send, the business confirms in AvisFacile that it has a legitimate basis to communicate (CASL — existing business relationship).
- No SMS keyword opt-in (the customer does not text START).
- No purchased lists or cold outreach.
- CSV import: the business must confirm it has the right to contact these people.
Frequency and hours
One initial SMS, then at most two reminders (often day 4 and day 10) if the customer has not clicked. Sends are limited to 9 a.m. – 7 p.m. (the business’s local time).
Sample message
Hello Marie, thank you for choosing Clinique du Parc. Share your experience: https://avisfacile.ca/r/exemple — Reply STOP to unsubscribe
Opt out
Reply STOP, ARRÊT, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END or REMOVE. The number is then removed and will no longer receive AvisFacile SMS for that business.
